Project Schedule Development Workshop: How to Build Realistic and Manageable MS Project Schedules

Tasks, work, and resources are where the “rubber meets the road” for project managers. Ultimately, all of the planning efforts around scope, budget, and time come together in the schedule. This course identifies core scheduling concepts and provides techniques to develop an accurate and complete schedule regardless of industry.  In two half-day live virtual sessions, participants in this workshop will learn how to build a sound project schedule using Microsoft Project 2016 as a tool.

Intermediate and advanced project managers alike will learn how to:

  • Develop a complete project schedule based on sound practices
  • Updating your schedule easily using our tips and tricks
  • Learn real-time using a case study
  • Get your schedule working for you during execution
  • Address common challenges with schedule development, including strategies to develop more accurate project estimates

Note: Course participants will have a brief pre-work assignment, as well as an optional post-class assignment, which can be sent to the facilitators after the course for feedback and additional learning.

Our Training Commitment to You

We are confident you’ll love our virtual learning experiences! Just like a physical classroom, you’ll see and speak to your instructor, participate in discussions and small group activities, and follow along in a writable PDF workbook so you can take notes and reference them later. Your instructor will also be available to you before, during, and after the course to answer questions, PLUS you’ll get access to electronic copies of all the tools or documents we talk about in the class.

The Persimmon Group uses Zoom for all learning events, with multiple security protocols in place to ensure a safe and private event. Zoom not only provides the most interactive features for our classes, but it also allows you to participate on the web (without downloading additional software) if desired.
