Surviving Project Management: The Fundamentals of Managing Projects

From managing team members to dealing with deadlines and battling budgets, project management is challenging under the best circumstances.  For the nearly 50% of PMs working without the proper tools and training, it can feel impossible.

Whether you are just beginning as a project manager or have been working as a PM with no formal training for years, this class will empower you with a foundational project management methodology that will enable you to become a more efficient and effective project manager.

Inspired by the television show Survivor, “Surviving Project Management: The Fundamentals of Managing Projects” is an interactive and hands-on learning event developed and facilitated by practicing project managers. You and your peers will work through interactive project scenarios and practice skills that have been proven effective in the real world.

In addition to the core concepts of project management (from initiating to closing), you will also learn how to:

  • Build and manage a project schedule
  • Lead a high-performing project team
  • Effectively manage risks, assumptions, and other project derailers
  • Influence project stakeholders and manage expectations
  • Improve project delivery results

This course includes a workbook, digital project management templates, handouts, a certificate for PDU/CEU credits (21), and all meals and snacks.
