Managing Conflict

Description

Conflict is normal in everyday business life. The key is to learn how to respond and to resolve conflict with a minimal amount of time and additional conflict. We will define conflict, address why it exists, and identify different ways that it occurs. With practical and hands-on components, we will discuss how to deal with conflict (whether it is cognitive, emotional or physical) and what process is used to resolve it. Participants will identify common workplace conflicts and how to either avoid them or reduce them significantly. Discussions will be facilitated to help participants understand conflict styles and how people respond to conflict. Additionally, participants will gain knowledge and hands-on practice to effectively resolve conflict.
